Help Us Drive Great Futures with Boys & Girls Clubs of America

Does your vehicle need a service, repair, or simple check-up? Stop by your local Tires Plus during the month of June and you’ll get the automotive service you need and have an opportunity to do much more.

Between June 1st and June 30th, your local Tires Plus (and more than 2,200 other tire and automotive service centers nationwide) will be raising money for Bridgestone Retail Operations’ (BSRO) Driving Great Futures campaign to benefit the Boys & Girls Clubs of America (BGCA).

For over a century, Boys & Girls Clubs of America has helped young people develop good character, become engaged citizens, adopt healthy lifestyles, and pursue academic success, all within the safe walls of Clubs.

Your donations will provide young people with the transportation they need. Tires Plus has helped raise more than $4 million to date, and this year funds will go toward much-needed transportation grants.

These grants will help Clubs purchase new vans (complete with Bridgestone DriveGuard tires) or improve and maintain vehicles they already have. These vehicles are so important to the success of Boys & Girls Clubs across the country. Without them, many Club members would be unable to participate in Club activities.

“Thanks to the generosity and hard work of BSRO employees, customers and partners, we have been able to serve more than 430,000 kids daily,” said Jim Clark, president and CEO of Boys & Girls Clubs of America. “We are excited to collaborate with BSRO on transportation grants that enable all young people, especially those who need us most, to reach their full potential as productive, caring, responsible citizens."

Four Simple Ways to Support the Kids

It’s easy to be a driver of change when you visit your local Tires Plus! Thanks to some of our generous partners and vendors, there are four easy ways that you can support the children of BGCA:

• Apply for a credit card at Tires Plus and Credit First National Association will donate 50 cents
• Purchase a Pennzoil high-mileage or synthetic blend oil change and Shell will contribute 25 cents
• Purchase a fuel system cleaning or Renu 500 fuel additive, and ITW/QMI will give 25 cents
